I have a P7 arrived today from Kaidomain, took about 3 weeks. In haste at the time i stupidly forgot to order batteries and a charger

It take 1x18650 3.7v battery. I like to get it up running quickly without waiting another 3 weeks...

Is there any places i can get this battery and the charger here in the UK.

Torch volts is from 3.7 to 4.2. Is it possible to fit CR123 batteries instead? and without overvolting it too much as these are more easily available.

Thanks.

The http://www.thetorchsite.co.uk is not too expensive.

    2xCR123 be 6V too much.

CR123a batteries will fit in your P7 but will certainly do your torch no good at all. The run times will also be affected. Best wait for the 18650 batteries. Just wondered how long is your commute and are you planning on doing some nighttime riding.

I order from Hong K and wait. It cost just £10. For battery and charger here, it be near to £30.

If you get a P7, look for one that has better digital regulated output for constant brightness. This is where the Fenix torches excel.

Shouldn't be too long before Lithium batteries flood the market and replace Nimh here.

The run time on my P7 is far better than is stated on the website, I get about one and a half hours on full power from one battery. However i will say that when i recently fitted my Macshine which is also rated as 900 Lumens the Macshine is far brighter, If the Macshine really does give out 900 Lumens then my P7 gives around 600-700 Lumens and maybe that explains the longer run time.Dont know if any other members have noticed this?. There is one big plus in all of this and that is with a P7 and a Macshine on your bike you light the whole road up, even colleagus of mine have commented on the brightness.

Very good. The longer runtime is down to running off a seperate battery pack of 4x18650. The total combined mAH is the running time. P7 takes 1x18650 or sometimes 2, or you can get a kit to power it with a seperate battery pack. It good to have other modes than just Hi to conserve battery power.

Some done tests and it's around 650 lumens.

There is nothing worse than driving down an unlit road, still with a capable front light and the driver can see you. YET they still put there full beam on! blinding you. If you on a long straight road, you can be blinded for a long time. More light power needed. Two MS's wouldn't go amiss.

Perhaps if you dipped your Magicshine, they'd dip their headlights?

I got a light approx 200 lumens already dipped plus a 'be seen' light visible upto a 1000m. I am not blinding them.

My 18650 batteries and charger arrived. :)

The light is just the thing to cut through the fog as well.
