Shwalbe Ultremo - well done

feel that I need to share the christmas vibe with the forum and give credit to a stockist.

Just picked up a suprise parcel at work today..

a brand new, shiny pair of Ultremo R1 tyres from Shwalbe. ..

for those not familiar with the background, I returned my set of Ultremo's ( 2nd set tbh, retailer not Shwalbe refused to believe the issues etc etc ) to manufacturer as part of a recall notice.

Shwalbe then sent me out a brand new pair of Durano's plus tubes to keep me going..

opened the box today... brand new Ultremo R1's, apology card and a big gingerbread biscuit cake thing with sorry written on it ! ( this has been stashed away in case I need to use it on the Bikewidow over the Xmas period! )

and I get to keep the Durano's.

    Good to hear it worked out. Did you even get to use the Durano's? I've been wondering what they're like, was thinking of getting some for use on my winter setup.

    well that's kind of the added bonus, got the Durano's just as the winter bike rolled out. They have been fitted but never seen tarmac...will keep them in reserve for the new year and stick them on bike2 when the current tyres need replacing.

    When my brand new Ultremo's blew out on their maiden voyage, I got in touch with Schwalbe to complain. They told me to bin the tyres and sent me out two new sets plus tubes within a few days.

    I sold them all as I will never trust the tyres again.

    But kudos to Schwalbe for their customer service!

    Apparently my R1s are waiting for me to go back to uni, they came the day after I headed home! I had excellent service from the Schwalbe guys, and the Stelvios I got as an interim replacement are great tyres.

    looks like i posted my praise for bohle in the wrong place,but i reaceved my new r.1s a couple of days ago complete with the sorry cookie and the interim stelvios are still going strong.

    Anyone else had their replacements yet? If they have were they in white?
