I have a older frame where the seatpost bolt goes into the frame. The thread is pretty worn now due to age and alot of adjustment. I like to replace with a seatpost clamp with a quick release lever instead of a replacement allen bolt so i can adjust easy whenever. Is it possible to get a clamp type for this? or are there only seatpost clamps for the top of the seatpost hole.

Kind of like this

That's a lovely frame. Angels will cry if you put an ugly quick-release on it — do you really need to? QR's that will fit are widely available, if you're determined.

I don't see the point of a QR on a road bike, it means your seat & post are then an added security risk, and surely once the seat height is right you just leave it. Get one of these.

It fine for the security. I don't ever leave it in harm's way. All i wanted was a attractive bolt and QR lever without the collar clamp. I seen ugly ones that are not the right size. I like to perfect riding position over a few weeks so as the bolt was worn i thought why not. When i got the right position afer a few weeks i can replace with a permanent bolt as suggested, thanks.
