A newbie here so apologies if this is a simple one.

Just got a new bike and a brand new shock pump. I was checking the back shock to check the pressure and when I released the pump nozzle the shock valve was full of green oil!! and some had transferred back up in to the pump.

Im pretty sure this isnt normal but if anyone could give me some advice as to what is wrong it would be really appreciated.

Thanks

The shock is a Fox Float RPL and the valve is the air valve at the side near the bottom.

i would not worry as there is little oil in there just for lubing. but i would make sure that the valve is "up" when adjusting pressures.

Hi mate, thanks for your advice. Ive had the shock off and stripped. It looks like there was a bit too much lube inside. All sorted and back together.
    Thanks again.
