hi, i know this has been covered loads of times, but i want to start xc racing and can't find much in my area (north west england). i currently take part in the merida marathon series, and have found races at lee quarry, but on the british cycling website, most of the events for north west england are in the isle of man.
does anyone know of a race series in this area/ish or is it just a case of having to travel further.
many thanks for any info given, much appreciated
cheers

    Gaz,

There are some races in the North West, but they are a little thin on the ground although things are definitely improving.

Keep an eye on my calendar too as I note down as many races as I can, particularly if they are in the NW of England.

cheers si, im working that weekend and there isn't any leave going at the mo, i'll keep an eye on that though. just been roped into a middle distance triathlon at the end of may (belvoir castle), so hopefully get a couple of duathlons, maybe a couple of shorter tri's in before that.
    cheers
