Just brought a Canyon Ultimate CF SLX and need some pedals and shoes to go with it. At the minute i'm using a pair of the first SPD SL's the bottom of the range ones and a pair of nike carbon soled road shoes (don't know the model). Don't have a problem them just what a change a new star if you like.
I've raced once last season and plan to race more this coming year as well as a few sportives. I also compete in tri's (will aslo buy some cheap tri shoes this year so shoes will be for the road.) My 2 LBS here in germany are not the best and exchange rates force me to buy off the net.
At the minute looking at Speedplay zero stainless and sidi ergo2. I've tried the sidi for fit in one of the LBS. What i would like to know is what people would recommend around the same price.( around 350 for both.) and if there is a killer deals about.
Cheers Cal

Cal,
Pearson's are doing a deal on s-works road shoes and look keo pedals, both in white! Bound to make you go faster. http://www.pearsoncycles.co.uk/product/ ... PEDAL_DEAL
I'm thinking of getting a Canyon CF SLX myself, but assume that you've not ridden it yet if you have no shoes/pedals. If you have though, what are your thoughts on it? Am going from a CAAD 7 road bike so am taking a bit of a risk buying unsighted but wanted to hear a bit of feedback.0 -
not ridden it yet and didn't test ride. mental or what. i've come off a trek 2300 so i'm hoping good things, its going to be better than the trek anyway. To be fair its beautiful. A lot has been said about canyons customer service, for me it was good but its very german ie 3 people doing 1 job so nothings straight forward or fast. plus i think the 2010 bikes don't ship till april. Will look at the specialized but there as evil as trek.eating parmos since 1981
