Alot of people on here recommend the Bolle Contour glasses, shatter proof and look pretty good. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... K:MEWNX:IT
I have some but haven't tried them yet, seem good quality.0 -
Most excellent. Focus also have some natty yellow-lens CAT safety specs for £10.99. The optics are a bit grim compared to Oakleys but they are light and comfortable. Endura's Spectrum anti-fog glasses are pretty good for just a few more quid.0

Bolle Contour every time - £7 and very good quality because they are officially "safety" glasses.0
-
Another recommendation for the Bolle Countour safety specs. Love em. Can't complain with the price either0
-
+1 Bolle Contour ESP glasses from eBay - got them myself after recommendation on here, used all summer and into winter - no worries, great for the money and cheap to replace if they do break.0
-
I've got a pair of DHB glasses from Wiggle that came with 3 different coloured lenses. Light and comfortable and keep the gak out my eyes
Bit more expensive then the Bolle ones but very good quality.0 -
Bolle conour again for me got from ebay around 6 pound all in, really do the job.So Far!0

Bolle BL10s for me, they're better than my old "proper" mtb glasses were and it's not so annoying when I lose them. It's all marketing, if they said "Specialized" on them they'd be £50.Uncompromising extremist0

Have been after some clkear glasses myself - ordered the *copupasta* Bolle Contour glasses. £6.90 with postage. Will see what they are like!
They are shatter-resistant though, yeah? :oops:0 -

I've got 2 pairs of Bolle (can't remember what design). I pair of Raleigh with 3 interchangeable lens, yellow, clear and dark. 1 pair of "cant remembers".
All under £10 each I think, and all good.CAAD9

trus me you will be so pleased and wonder why the hell people spend so much on glasses when the Bolle is more than adequate and so cheap. I use the grey lenses for daytime and clear for night, they are so light and fit any size face perfectly. So Far!0 -
I tried some £60 yellow-tinted glasses in a shop as well as some £15 ones and there was a difference in comfort. So I guess to a certain extent you do get a bit more comfort with the more expensive glasses and such - however I am NOT saying that the £15 ones wern't comfy!
But yeah - the other thing is the lenses. These yellow tinted ones are meant to give you more contrast/better visibility in the dark - so maybe one day...
... and some change from light to dark and vice-versa as you go into dark/light areas.
But you *just* might have known al lthat.0 -
I ordered some Bolle Contour glasses on Christmas Eve, just waiting for them to ship.
I previously had some triple lens glasses I got from Aldi or Lidl or somewhere like that for about a fiver that were great. Sadly, they did a vanishing act when I left a pocket open on my pack one day.
That's the great thing about it though. Had they been a £100 pair of Oakleys, I'd be mortified beyond reason, but as they were only a fiver, It's all cool.
I have no doubt that more expensive glasses are more comfy, react better to light and dark etc, but considering they are going to get smothered in shlt and scratched to buggery I'd personally rather pay less and replace when I need to.0 -

Oh yeah for sure - valid points you make. Though I guess it depends on what kind of cycling you do too I suppose.0 -
Yeh, course. Not only that, but also depends how careful you are. A ham-fisted, clumsy ape like me is always better going for something cheaper because I WILL break/loose/sit on/run over things like glasses at some point.0

Oh lawls!! Haha.
Ya, it can vary.0 -

Gonna probably not - gogole for pics Isuppose.0 -
some of the contour listings say metal, some not - 2 types possibly?0

The Bolle Contour's come in plastic (~£7) and metal framed (~£10).
I have the plastic ones and they are pretty sturdy. To be honest, anything which would actually break the plastic ones would also break the metal ones. I suppose it all comes down to whether or not you care about the appearance (and frankly they're so identical it probably doesn't matter).0 -
And also whether you want to have broken metal right beside your eyes
The polycarb is probably tougher than the metal frame tbh.

if it's shatter resistant, then i would go for the plastic one I guess.0 -
