99 RS Sid + Commy frame = what disc brake? M575?

Hi,
I have decided to enter the 21st century and ditch my V-Brakes.
Just bough a cheap Commencal Supernormal frame on which I will fit my 99 Sids SL.
The fork seem to have the same 51mm (ish!!) disk mount as the frame.
My ideal brakes would be the Shimano M575 but this seems to only exist in Post Mount according to the Shimano specs. So in theory I won't be able to fit them neither on my frame nor on my forks (this seems daft).
Merlin have a blinding offer of Shimano wheels and brakes, including the said M575.

Merlin state that "All brakes will fit either post or IS mount forks"
Is that a mistake ? Or is there a way to fit Post Mount caliper on a IS fork ? And what about the frame ? Same question.

Thanks

yes you just use the required adaptor for the disc size you order.
Yes you forks are IS mount."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Ok thanks a lot.
What size rotors should I choose? I am 90kgs but I only ride in a fairly flat predictable
South Downs trails and i am a light braker. Would 160mm be enough ?
I am assuming adaptors have to be bought separately ? Is there any particular source or brand for them that you would advise ? Shimano ?

adaptors come with the brake kit (normally). Or in some cases come with the rotor.
talk to the seller.
180(5) front 160 rear will be fine. 160/160 could be ok."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

90kgs on a 1999 SID with disc brakes, sounds flex-tastic! Do not go anything bigger than 160 definitely!0

LOL. A good incentive for me to eat lightly at Xmas.
I am going SLX in the end, the full kit is only £45 more than the M575.
I was gonna upgrade the front to 180mm but not too sure I should because of flex (forgot about that). Maybe I'll have to release the brakes before turn in...
Anyway, the adapters come with the calipers, so I don't understand why/how they can be disc size dependant ?0
