Anyone fitted a power link to an 11 speed chain?
Fitted my 11 speed chain last night (without the 11 speed tool I might add!).
I would like to be able to remove it once in a while for a good clean but don't want to keep buying the campay fitting pind and £5/6 a pop.
Anyone tried fitting a Sram / KMC type power link to an 11 speed chain yet? If not can anyone think of reasons why this may or may not work?
Cheers.

Good luck with that chain you joined, hopefully you are not a strong rider otherwise you might find the chain ripping apart.
What makes you say that? Why would a new chain rip apart?
Thanks for the other comment - I take it you have actually tried this with success?
When you join the 11spd chain you need to make sure you flare the right end of the joining pin, if not it's touch and go the chain if the chain stays together.
Cheers Tom, I was hoping the KNC option would work.
There is a bit of marketing hype about the 11spd Campag chain - the material that you need to flare on the link is so soft that it deforms perectly just by switching the chain tool over to that side and gently winding back in. The effort needed is so minute it does not cause the pin to push back out, and leaves a very tidy result.
hi just changed to 11 speed but have not connected chain yet.
so you think sram connecting link will work?
dont want to buy that tool cheers mark
