Facing the commute to work this morning i was faced with some some prety grim weather as most people would have woken up to.
Now after putting all my clobber on the only thing not coverd up was my face.
so hear come the question Paintball Mask stupid idea or not it kept the wind and cold of my face but i did look prety daft and had some confused looks from a few people but i got to work still feeling my face.

get buff there great plus you can rub ashop with one onplay hard ride hard0

Yeah, a buff works really well. Mask might too but I imagine it's not very windtight (since if it was, you'd die ) Once winter really gets here, all you'll see of me on my commute is an inch wide gap between hat and buff, and even that will have glasses over it.
Igf you buy a buff, this time of year, get a Polar- they're half fleece, half normal buff, but they come with looooads of material. So you can cut off a fleecy stripe for an earwarmer/headband, anpther for a nek tube/hat and still have the standard buff bit as, well, a standard buff.Uncompromising extremist0 -
Im suprised it kept your face warm, Round the nose and eyes i guess, main part really. fair point....
But all the venting, surely your cheeks still got cold, i seem to remember my cheeks being bloody freezing when i was playing during the winter.0 -
i use a cannondale le balaclava for my winter commutes..
sure i look like a ninja but it is windproof and water resistant and keeps me warm....

I've used a Buff for the lase few years (approx. 8 years, if my memory is anything to go by), and I've never felt the need to use anything else.
Also worth noting that not only am I a nesh girliepants, but I have always rode all-year round and in all types of weather, year in-year out for as long as I can remember.0 -
