It's gotta be said, the new WADA man is doing a good job. Maybe not as good for a soundbite but Dick by the Pound (go DJ Assault) didn't help his cause some of the time.
Fckin' Quintana … that creep can roll, man.

Dicky Pound was likely the right man at the time...looking back, he was right to be hard on the pro bike riders...

From what I gather, the UCI dropped its suit against Pound, so technically they climbed down, not Pound.

Pound was loud, rude, brash, disruptive and... right.

His refreshing stance allowed someone to take a stand against Hein Verbruggen, whether his quotes about the UCI being so blind to doping that they use white sticks in Aigle or his blunt condemnation of the UCI's crony Vrijman Report. But as much as Pound had a go at cycling's slapdash ways, he didn't make such bold noises about tennis, football or athletics. He'd say things, but he couldn't be as forceful.

Now cycling has improved a bit, it's right that it doesn't get such stick and can work better with WADA and its more moderate executives.

from whom and where do you gather? My reading of the cyclingnews report is mutual agreement to drop action...if Dick had the upper hand then why the backtracking?
