Slick Tyres

I am doing a 150 mile, 4 day trip in April and most of it is on country roads
I have a Carrera Vulcan and reckon that slicks would be the way forward for this trip , due to the majority being on tarmac
Which tyres can people recommend?
Cheers

I have been running 26x1.5 Vittoria Randonneurs everyday on my commuter bike since summer, even did a 140mile trip to Paris (was a relay) for BHF on them. Living in the centre of a city I always seem to ride through bloken glass and have not had a single puncture and they roll for sooo long
They sell at Decathlon for £9.99 each, cheap as chips!
Oh and they have reflective side walls0 -
Specialized All Conditions 26x1.0 - light, fast, puncture free.0

I use Schwalbe Marathon Racer 1.5s for commuting. Excellent tyre combining low weight with great puncture protection. Seem to recall they are a bit pricey, but definitely worth checking out.Scott Scale 20 (for xc racing)
Gary Fisher HKEK (for commuting)0 -
I run Schwalbe City Jet tyres in 26x1.5" size with tyre liners. Without mentioning the 'p' word, i have found this set up very reliable for my daily commute for many months now.0

i'd go for a big slick, I've found mtb can ride a bit funny on really skinny slicks. Something like the tioga skidrow 2.5"0

I'm currently running geax booze tyresfor street/roads over winter and if you want to hoon about using speed bumps as launch platforms and think steps are valid shortcuts then they are great But a less weighty skinner tyre if you aren't as much of an idiot as I am like the conti city contact would be better.-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_

Why are MTB economics; spend twice as much as you intended, but only half as much as you wish you could afford? :roll:0 -
I wouldn't discount semi slicks if you want a little grip along the way and I'd go for a bigger tyre too, you'll appreciate it if the road turns into country lane and gets a little bumpy. I use Michelin XC Hard Terrain at £13 or something, work great in wet too nice generous plump 2.0 tyre.0

Im currently running Continental Town & Country's 26x2.1 Semi-Slicks. No punctures whatsoverBoardman Hybrid Pro

BikeRadar seemed to love them in their review, but I struggled to find them in any of the "usual suspect" e-stores...================
