This may get deleted as it could be a bit "controversial" but:

Has ANYONE ever had good service when dealing with Zyro?

I have had two instances of very poor customer service and all I hear is bad things about them.

They clearly hold a very important position in the industry, distributing some of the biggest brands but WHY do they manage to be so dire yet get away with it?

Do the brands they deal with know that people actively avoid Zyro distributed products now? Do they know how poorly customers are treated?

I really cannot stand it when incompetent companies somehow muscle their way into industry leading positions despite completely ignoring a basic thing called "good service."

There are some companies out there that give amazing service - it's not all about the product.

I doubt anyone from Zyro would bother to read this but if they do, how about some sort of explanation?

    Really?

I thought maybe their saving grace might be that they are excellent with the shops they sell to.

    It gets worse...
  • it's okay, they basically don't have anything worth buying.

Ride - they do for some people.

Altura do some good stuff, Muc Off is useful to some, Camelbak are well liked (I like mine a lot), Cateye do good rear lights, Panaracer do good tyres, Lupine lights are decent, etc, etc

It's just hateful that such a useless distributor gets in the way.

The combination of poor design and manufacture of some cateye lights (esp brackets) plus a distributor that offers rudeness and ignorance rather than warranty support, results in extreme frustration and a quick check "do Zyro distribute this?" before making any purchases now! If the answer is "yes" I look for an alternative product

Alfa - exactly, so how are they in a position where they distribute some of the biggest brands? Whether people like them or not doesn't really matter, they sell a lot of volume.

I think Cateye front lights are poor but their rear lights seem to work well.
  • I wouldn't bother buying stuff from them that might need to be warrantied. Buying from places like merlin is much easier as they'll handle zyro for you or go straight to the manufacturer.

I wouldn't buy a lupine, as much as I like them, because of zyro.

I wonder if Lupine knows that? And any other their other brands?

Would they sell more with a better distributor (no I'm not thinking of setting one up BTW!!)?
  • Doubt it really makes a difference, they get more exposure through zyro, but worse customer satisfaction.

So basiscally Zyro have access to good distribution channels and that's about it...
  • oh and they're expensive, when you can get stuff cheaper from online retailers than zyro you do start to wonder.

And i'm not talking little things, these are big things which are very undercut.

Seconded (i'm glad it's not just us!)

    Seconded again!
We used to buy one brand direct from the manufacturer but when Zyro acquired exclusive distribution, the price instantly doubled.

If any customers ask for Zyro brands we point them in a different direction because it's better not to make the sale than to get a bad reputation because of a bad supplier.

Mac - that is appalling! That is my gripe - they treat everyone terribly, rip them off and still manage to negotiate exclusivity with many big brands.

Maybe they have a mafia element to them?!

That really drives me mad

Utterly cack reputation yet they manage to get exclusivity on well known brands.

As I said, there must be a mafia element to them somewhere.
