Not a happy bunny.

Boiler is going nuts again, family are away on holiday and I know **** all about boilers or who to call (not that I think they'll come out this time of year if what my Father often says is true). Shower was 15 degrees, temp outside has been -3. Havent had a decent shower in a couple of days

Add to that I really wanted to soak in the bath for once, as I knackered me fingers at work today. Cant even add kettle water as it goes cold by the time the next one boils. I feel like taking a baseball bat to the ****ing boiler :x

end rant.

Thanks. If I cant get it working I might go around my Uncles as he knows a few people too.

Annoyingly have already been told by an engineer mate of my Dad's last year that "its knackered, mate, you need a new one" but family wont replace it. Several £k worth of replacement, or bodging something to get it working temporarily. They chose the latter.

Have you tried turning it off and back on again? (it sometimes works)
    Gently tapping it?
    Pressing all the buttons?

if your desperate for a bath in the past ive put the biggest pans i can find on the hob and bring them to boil. you can then boil the kettle. you can get more quantity before it goes cold this way. if you have 4 hob cooker and pans your in serry.

You could always move out to your own place and take responsibility for your own hot water...
  • Travellodge - 1 night £30 or so, all the hot water you could want.

boilers are a killer, ours is on the blink and I'm £3000 short of the £ 2000 they want to do the system.

i blame my expensive children

I did try.. the various places I looked at were around £900 a month rental. One bedroom flats too, you'd think this was some top spanish resort by those prices.
  • The local swimming pool will be open - the days of such places also being a bath house are long gone but they'll have showers. Other advantages - you'll see lots of half naked girls and can drink all you want : :D
Pain is only weakness leaving the body
  • It could be worse, you could be married to an old boiler.
