thanks to the advice from members of this forum, i picked my 5ive SE tonight!

already had a wee blast about on it - love it!

so far the tyres havent let me down, rear shocks needing a service so just going to chuck the whole bike into sandy wallace (inverkeithing) to have it done before xmas

Tip for you -

to prevent chainslap and to quieten things down, stick some velcro on the underside of your swingarm

Good choice on the 5 SE. I've been riding a 5 pro all year and all I can say is oh my god, what a bike. Quick on the dh trails at the forest of dean and no slouch going back up. Very planted front end. I had 2.4 nobby nics on, but now use 2.5 maxxis minions for the slop and goo. Happy riding

well i finally binned the conti MK's.

got a puncture today when i arrived at work, stuck a tube in - fixed - braw

got bloody home at 5pm - ANOTHER ONE in the new tube too!!

stuck a set of panaracers on and will see how they go cos those MK's were guff.

not a very happy me :twisted:

now had a new chain and set of grips for the summer, needs a BB bearing which ill order up soon apart from that shes still being ridden hard

203mm floating rotor (in matching gunsmoke)
adapter bracket
EBC green pads (not used or heard about these before but will try them

)

BB bearing kit (making funny noises lol)
