Anyone like to recommend a good, lightweight, bright (not dark) wind and waterproof jacket that would fit a 6' bloke with slim frame and long arms? Most things dont have long enough sleeves for me
Cheers!

I tried an Endura Flyte on last week which had really long arms, nice jacket, bit pricey though.

I'm 6'1" and it fits me fine, I've been caughts in some pretty nasty rain the last few weeks here in Dundee and its kept me dry, its also very very bright!

I'm happy with the Altura Night Vision.

+1 for the Night Vision. You need a baselayer with it though.

  • My Flyte arrived yesterday and I used it for the first time today. I am very very impressed, may even say it's one of the best pieces of cycling clothing I've ever bought. It is warm, apparently windproof and breathable - although I'll have to wait a few weeks (days probably!) to comment on that..it gets great reviews everywhere though. It's the fit that I'm impressed with most, almost can't feel that I have it on, no matter whether I'm standing, walking, or riding the bike....very comfy.
  • The Gore-Tex Oxygen IV might suit you - very good piece of kit and comes in red/light-grey/black. It is more a good wind/waterproof than a hivis jacket though.

I would get a Gore if you got long arms. The Alturas are OK if you have shortish arms but they don't fit me and the Night Vision is not really a lightweight jacket - I would avoid it.

The Gore Oxygen IV is a lightweight, packable, waterproof outer shell and it comes in a range of colours to suit.
