Probably a stoooopid 29er question.

Erm, be gentle with me ok?! Is it possible to fit a 29er sus fork/wheel to a normal 26" hardtail?
This would make it - if it is poss - one of them there 69ers.
But would the geometry be all screwed up?
Will it work?
Can it be done?
Has anyone done it?
Can Batman escape from the Riddler's deadly trap?
Tune in same time, same channel...

it is good on long travel hardtails, the 456 is great as a 69er with reba's on the front.
Basically you need to keep the axle to crown the same, so a long fork becomes a short 29er one.0 -
ride-whenever: Thanks...Ok, so it CAN be done! The frame is a Norco Bigfoot, which I think can take a 5in fork.
The reason for being so curious, is on some of the Mtb trail centres DH sections, I feel like I'm going up-and-over the bars occasionally. So a fat-boy front wheel/fork may be just the ticket.Currently I run a Marzz XC 6OO, which only gets about 3.5in travel with 26in wheel.
Appreciate anyone else's answers/experiences before I commit to spending my cash.0 -
i think they're designed for 120mm i think you might struggle with a 29 front wheel. I'd say get some decent forks and try that instead. Maxle revelations would be good.0
