Alan van Heerden
Picked up from Robbie Hunters twitter than Alan has passed away - Probably a name that means nothing to most people but if you'd ever spent any time riding a bike in South Africa you would've known his name.
He won a stage in the Giro in 1979 under an assumed name (as he couldn't compete in Europe legitamately becuase it was the dark days of apartheid) but was stripped of the win when they found out. He's also done well in Paris Roubaix
Little interview with him - Been there and done that kind of guy

He remained involved in cycling until his death
