    agreed.
  • Without wanting to get too involved in the pros and cons of whether he should have commited the actions or not I would just say that rage can induce you to do things that are outside your normal range of actions. I do think they guy had the grounds to jusitfy his actions although his actions in themselves are not correct on a normal level. Reading about the circumstances leading up to what he done I totally understand why he done it (then again I have kicked someone's door in and smashed their stereo with a golf club due to them playing loud music constantly for a week).

It's easy to say you'd have the mental discipline to turn the other cheek but by the same token you can't deny human nature (and it's human nature to get angry and seek retriibution otherwise we wouldn't have been seeking bigger and better ways to smash people's skulls since the stone age)

Good post, but what if the guy who's stereo you smashed got his mates round, got tooled up and gave you such a severe beating you ended up with life long brain damage? He would have been defending his property wouldn't he Tel39?
I think that we should just all agree that Mr Hussain is a Webbo and call it a draw.

Don't say that, he'll come round and 'mash you up'!

  • Overturned?

Was he in jail before? Yes

Is he in jail now? No

    I'd call that overturned.

He may not have been admonished in law or the conviction quoshed but the original ruling was effectively overturned.

Whether it should have been is quite another matter...

Seriously, it wasn't overturned. His sentence was changed.

There was a few of them in the flat when it happened and they did come round the next day but to apologuise. The fact I was wearing nothing but a pair of boxers when I done it kinda suggested I was a touch insane.

True - but had he have gone round there naked and smashed the guy's stereo up with his flacid penis, that would have been far funnier (read scarier)
