Went for a 24 mile jaunt around rural East Lothian, took me 1 hour and 9 minutes. A nice 600 ft of ascent and a top speed of 38.7 mph. It really was quite lovely, I think I saw more tractors than cars.

No, it is after all East Lothian.... now if it was Ngorangora Crater, Mission Beach, Ipanema Beach, Goa, or Mandalay, mat be a little jealous, but Tranent, East Fortune and Haddington? Nah.....

First day of an Xmas sabbatical?

Its going to be a little odd for this year, in that (sadly) Royal Mail do not do the Xmas shutdown from Xmas Eve to ~4th January (like my last employer, which involved 4 days annual leave). Never mind, I get two 4 day weekends instead

I'd just like to pass on my thanks to British Airways for buggering up our family's Christmas holidays. I hope you all get warts.

Now having to contend with moping and weeping, whilst trying not to mention the extra bike riding opportunities spending Christmas at home offers. Somehow, I don't think this will cheer anyone up, apart from me
