Its fools gold, which is the only colour I thought the SE came in?0

Pic of mine in the link in my signature. I ordered mine in Chrome Grey, which is now the standard SE colour.
£1700 sounds like a fair price, depending how much mileage it's done.
As an indication, since I got mine in June 2008, not much has worn out, but the list of parts that have, is:
Grips
Seat
Cassette
Chain
Middle Chainring
Bottom Bracket
Tyres
Pivot bearings
Brake pads.
Other than that everything still works like new.
Oh yeah almost forgot, my forks went knackered and cost me £230 to sort out. So may be worth getting them serviced if they haven't already been done.0 -
Not had much use, and is mint condition0

Always best to buy off someone you know. Have a dam good ride on it b4 you hand over cash if you can.
You certainly couldnt have a nicer bike imo.

If you don't want it, I'll have it0 -

well been down, gave it a ride and had a good look at it etc
size is good - bigger than my carrera kraken (was suprised how small my carrera was compared to the 5, not to mention how heavy my carrera was! the 5 felt awesomley light compared )
bike feels really good and is a nice size for me - i felt comfortable anyway.
ended up dealing on £1650 for the bike AND a work stand for it
good deal then?

Crackin! I guess this is instead of the Scott (if I don't have you confused with someone else)?0 -
yes, i had a good think and the scott probably was a bit too racey for me, at least with the five i can give it a bit death without destroying it, plus im 15st odds - not a small chap by any means.
the spec on the five was too good to refuse, not gonna get anywhere near it for the money buying new
