Hello,
I am looking for a "touring bike" to buy. (I am from the United Kingdom and am a complete novice, when it comes to bike technical stuff)
I will be cycling about 50 miles a day, every day for a couple of months next year. (mainly on completely flat roads, but occasionaly on slightly rougher roads, but not as bad as rocky, mountainous paths.)
I want one that will last a long time, and will be suitable for tong trips, but still be fast. I am looking to spend about £300 - £600.
It needs to either have panniers built on, or somewhere that I can attach them.
What else do I need to look for when it comes to purchasing a bike? and what bike do you recommend? Also any advice is much appreciated!!
Thank you!!!!

A second-hand Dawes Galaxy or similar would fit the bill.
Here's a link to a new one: http://www.spacycles.co.uk/products.php?plid=m1b1s21p1367&rs=gbCycling weakly0 -
Ridgeback Horizon - good, sturdy, relatively lightweight fast tourer, with rack & pannier mounts...and more or less within that price range...0
