As above, I am looking to get my mate a nice book for Christmas and have come up with one of the following books;
1. The Golden Age of Handbuilt Bicycles
Looks like a really nice coffee table type book with some fantastic photos.
2. Paris - Roubaix; A Journey Through Hell
Title speaks for itself.
It would be great to know if anyone here has these books and do they rate them ?
Cheers

The second one is a great book. The writing is a bit flowery, but you don't really buy that type of book for the writing - the pictures are stunning.0

The Paris-Roubaix one was originally published in French (with a different cover) so the apparent floweriness of the writing problably reflects the ability of the translator.0

paris-r is great!"There are holes in the sky,
Where the rain gets in.
But they're ever so small
That's why rain is thin. " Spike Milligan0 -

Buy him, A dog in a hat by Joe Parkin tells it like it is fantastic book although i feel even he is been conservative with the truth0

The Rider by Tim Krabbe is superb. Fictional account of a one-day race in France - although not a coffee table book it is great.0
