Im thinking of selling my beloved Trek 5200 58cm which is in United States Postal Service Team Colours, but need advice on how much something like this would sell for, its just had a full winter service & had all new drive train put on & brand new tyres.

The frame is carbon OCLV 120.
Groupset is Shimano Ultegra except brake levers which are Dura Ace.
Just has a few cosmetic problems on the stickers, but other than that this is a fantastic bike to ride, never been damaged or crashed.

Here are some pics of the bike, plus pics showing the cosmetic bits.

Any advice would be welcome.
Thanks.

Best bet would be eBay, anything USPS goes for a fair bit on there. Particularly if you ship to the US.

    That said, I'd keep it!

I have exactly the same bike, except yours is in much better condition than mine!

I have just consigned mine to the role of Winter bike.

As NapD said, Americans go mad for USPS stuff, so I'd list it on Ebay with US / Canada visibility (costs 5p extra!). Find out in advance how much it will cost to send to the US so you can give accurate quotes, and ask your LBS for an old bike box to ship it in.
  • i think youd expect to get between £700 and £1000 (if your lucky)
Ive sold 2 madone's and bought 2 madones on ebay..

Good luck, i love the us postal colours, postal stuff was selling for more when lance was retired and it seemed there wouldnt be much armstrong cycling stuff around, now he's back and all over everything cycling the prices have dropped.

Put it away for a few years and i imagine the value will rise, im thinking of buying a trek 1000 in postal colours as an investment.
