Our kids were rewarded for having the two fastest times in the Tour of Britain U12 national Italian Pursuit competition by having a visit from Ed Clancy to present certificates, etc.
He spent two hours, riding round with the kids, answering questions and signing autographs. He even walked round some of the circuit behind 4 year old (just) Sally who we taught to ride a few weeks ago when she was still 3.
Considering he'd been to Vicky P's engagement party at the velodrome the previous night and had kipped overnight at Geraint Thomas's place, it was a pretty impressive show.
And he didn't look bored once
