Mavic home trainer computer

Although I still love my ages old imagic I can't take it everywhere as it's not super-portable. I've got a normal basic turbo as well for when I'm away from home but would like a computer on it so I can get some kind of reference. I have to use my normal road on it when I'm away.
So I was thinking of a Mavic wintech with the home trainer speed sensor and wondered if anyone else uses this? I could also get the skewer sensor for when I'm out on the road (I assume the skewer sensor would work on the rear wheel?) .
