McQuaid on the transfers etc
Interesting to read his take on it

It does sound like the Swift situation is the worst one of the lot. I thought in Evans case he had a clause in his contract which allowed him to leave like he did.

The Sky team seem to operate from the Rupert Murdoch business manual.

If anyone can do something about it, it's Pat McQuaid, why doesn't he do something or has he forgotten he's the President of the governing body. Although I want Sky to succeed, this approach is out of order. It'll be interesting to see what happens when other teams are in a position to work against Sky and prevent them winning.0

Another way of looking at this might be that given the money on offer at Sky riders might be wanting to keep them sweet in order to get a ride with them in future. Self preservation is likley a large motivator for those with insecure jobs (which is a lot of riders). In smaller more parochial races, I can see some problems.
English speaking and Italian riders especially would be daft to upset Sky you'd think. Shouldn't think the Belgians will care too much about that though!0
