Bottle cage?

Good morning all!

Just a quicky! Has anybody had any paint damage on their bikes due to having a bottle cage fitted?

yep, A few years back I had a cannondale one on an orange P7, I fell off the cage got caught onsomething and some how dinked the frame the bike was only a month old!

And on my Voodoo the paint has come off around it.

It's most likely due to sweat and the liquids/dribbles that spill out of the water bottles...then drip onto the frame, it makes the lacquer go funny but shouldn't cause corrosion on alloy, carbon and ti frames of course...just an annoying cosmetic blemish.
