My bike is covered on the house insurance - you have to use one of the locks they specify in the policy.
I have found that including it on the house insurance is much cheaper than a specialist bike insurer.

Many house insurers don't even specify a lock. As long as it's securely in the house it's covered, and if it's out of the house it can be locked with a £2 cable lock.

    Hi,

M+S and Churchill home insurance are both good.

They both don't need locks and don't ask you to list them as long as they don't go over a certain value.

M+S is the better one, but only insures homes built post 1800, so for older homes try Churchill
