Hi looking at doing some skill courses to bring on my riding I live 15 min drive from Surrey hills and found website allbikedup.com that run courses. Does anybody have any experience of these guys, feedback? Any good?

Cheers

Paul

i hear good things about them.
  • Yes actually.. Myself and a couple of guys did an evening course for about 3 hours with Richard of All Biked Up back in Sept.

We all got a tremendous amount out of it. Richard is very easy going and pragmatic and he certainly knows his stuff. We started with some real basics such as body position on the bike for various manouvres then once he'd got an idea of our basic skill levels we moved on from there.

He was also quite up front about what we could expect to get out of it. It won't suddenly make you a miles better rider but what it does do is give you a whole load of stuff to work on which WILL. Personally I learned a basic manual technique which I can now do reasonably well plus I learned just how far you actually can move your body weight behind the saddle and how this allows you to ride a controlled descent on really steep roll offs. I would never have discovered the extent to which this can be used just through my own endeavors.

The others got similarly worthwhile results though not necessarily in the same areas. I'd say go for it -you won't regret it

p.s I've got absolutely no affiliation with the course organisers (or any others come to that)

Agree with 5Thumbs - a couple of us went on the level 2 course last month with Richard from all biked up and he gives good pointers on some of the key stuff to practice on and improve your riding. Give it a go.
