Well, the group posted here doesn't exist anymore.
However, I decided to do a search for "cyclists" on all Facebook groups. There are loads of "I hate cyclists", "I effin hate cyclists", which don't have more than 15-20 members each. Then there are "cyclists off our pavements" groups, but harmless.
But then, I found groups blatantly advocating violence towards us poor lot, with graphic pictures of cyclists being run over and "manuals" on how to run cyclists off the road and really sick comments on cyclists deaths reported in the media. I reported 4 of these last night, based on violence and hatred speech. Let's see what Facebook comes back with.
Funny enough, I found a few groups of "cyclists against bad driving", "cyclists vs cabbies", "cyclists unite", "cyclists rule" and so on, but not a single one, I repeat, NOT A SINGLE ONE (and I checked 500!) advocating violence towards drivers or pedestrians (my search was only for the word "cyclists" though). Which goes to show that we are not the violent type.
So, lets all get up on that altar, shall we? 8)

Will do, but I can't access Facebook at work. I logged in last night (a day after I reported 4 violent groups), but I had no notification from Facebook. Couldn't check on the groups I had reported b/c I was in a hurry to go out (to the premier of It Might Get Loud, by the way, you HAVE to see that movie if you are into rock music). I will check them tonight to see if they are still there.0 -

I will say this, lets not limit this to just dangerous anticyclist groups. I will often report/flag things I find unacceptable on youtube (I dont mean sex or violence but stuff that seems to show all kinds of abuses).0 -

This one is particularly sickening, because what is described here has been happening in Kent for a while. One of those cases ended with the cyclists paralized. I still don't know if the scumbag was aprehended or not. I've read reports of this kind of action (pushing cyclists off their bikes) in Cycling Weekly's letters.
