Eddy Merckx vs Scott

Hi All,

Just want a few opinions. Hopefully somebody has some experienced advice

I just crashed my Scott Addict R1 and and need a new bike frame.

The LBS has offered a great price for a replacement Addict R1 frame, but there is another good offer for an Eddy Merckx EMX5 frame. Obviously... i am TORN.

I LOVED the addict. Absolutely rocksteady. It served me well in races and fun rides. But Merckx is sexy.

I don't usually post in these "expensive cfrp" threads, but here goes: the name Merckx is about, oh, a few million times cooler than the name Scott on your downtube. Surely that does it?

Eddy Merckx EMX5 - have you seen it! stunning bike. Also I have only ever seen one on the road, so a tad more unusual from that main brands

I own both the Scott Addict and the EMX5 and can tell you it's a non contest.

The EMX5 is far and beyond the Addict.

Not to mention the Merckx looks way cooler.

Are you mad man!!! Anything,ANYTHING with THAT mans name has got to be the best. I would buy a Raleigh Grifter if it were rebadged as a Merckx
