Hi,
does any body know where i can buy the internal spring that goes inside the bolt on the shimano deore XT rear Derailure as mine doesnt have much tension left in it.

A bike shop will give you one from their odds and ends bucket if you're shopping there. It can be tensioned by dropping the turned up endpiece into a second hole.0

make sure also that your cables are clean and lubed as dirty cables can often give the illusion of a weak spring.0

Not sure what you mean by inside the bolt but If you mean the return spring then I don't think you can buy a replacement. How old is the rear mech what model XT?0 -
Errr. dont know what model sorry but i know that its 5 years old in january 20100

Thanks for all your replays i think im going to strip it down as ive seen a diagram of how it goes together so going to try and tension the spring if i can. and if it goes wrong save my money from christmas and get a new one as it is knocking on a bit now 0
