Hi there, would like to ask you for your opinion. I want to treat me to a new wheelset for my tcr advanced 3/black:

With a bit of research I found two wheelsets which would suite my budget:

Mavic Ksyrium Elite 08/ silver / 1750 g

Ultegra 6700/ black /1650 g

As there are both very nice and roughly the same price its a very dif decision.

What do you guys think is the better choice?

I have both but they have always been on different bikes so I cant make any clear comparison. The Elites have been excellent, never needed truing despite about 6000 miles including some harsh treatment over rough roads and cattle grids etc. They also look a bit better than the Ultegra in my opinion (I like black with flat spokes). I have heard stories of spokes coming loose but mine have been fine.
I havent had the Ultegra for long but they also seem strong with no lateral flex and a comfy ride despite being quite responsive. I suppose the tubeless facility is an advantage though I dont really see the point myself. I have never had to service the hubs but Shimano maybe easier than Mavic.
I think either would be a great choice. Sorry I cant be more decisive.

Ultegra is probably a better bet, lighter and better hubs.
