fitting back wheel

Hi
how does every one centralise there back wheel ,do you use the chainstays aas a guide ,or place the bike on the floor ,so that there is weight on the bike and then fit .Plus i have avid juicey brakes and every time i take a wheel off i have to piss about with the callipers so they dont rub ,any advise cheers

Never really thought above 'centralising' the back wheel. Before I changed car I used to have to remove both front and back wheels when going to and from rides. I always just flipped the bike over and made sure the wheel dropped completely into the drop out and secured with quick-relase correctly. Never had any issues with caliper alignment. The front wheel was another issue though! :shock:
When you take your wheel off, maybe used something, for example a piece of cardboard between the brake pads as so not to accidently alter thier position in the caliper when fiddling about with the bike?0 -
Thanks for that ,good tip with the card ,i dont think ive ever moved the calliper ,just happens every time i take the wheels of ,but like you said have more trouble with the front wheel than the back cheers for the advise0
