Is this still the rule?
If so pro bike kit seem to have one that fits the bill, looking for advice to see wether it goes a bit see through?

You can wear any skinsuit you want - depending on where you ride.
If it's an official CTT TT - then NO pro colours. But anything else goes.
If it's just a local club TT - wear what you want.0 -
Does a CTC TT have a cafe stop halfway through?0
-
CTC TT's - yes, in a rural pub!
CTT time trials - no!Cannondale Synapse 105, Giant Defy 3, Giant Omnium, Giant Trance X2, EMC R1.0, Ridgeback Platinum, On One Il Pompino...0 -

its the CTT and your wrong anyway.
firstly
cheersbigears, says he`s not in a club, well in that case . he cant enter an event anyway. it is a pre-condition ,that all entrants are a member of an affiliated club.
so i would suggest ,joining a club and getting the club kit. beyond that, you can ride in anything you like as long as it is not prokit ( unless your a member of the uci affiliated pro-team). it does`nt carry any advertising ( unless the club your a member of has paid its advertising subs) and it covers you in entirley from mid thigh to upper arm.constantly reavalueating the situation and altering the perceived parameters accordingly0 -

Been through this before.
You are supposed to be in an affiliated club to ride local club TT's - but many people get away with NOT being in a club and still riding. (I am in a club before you start lecturing me).
The CTC thing was a typo.0 -
My club (Reading CC) runs club time trials - club members only, and a couple of open time trials, which, as the name suggests, are open to all, be they from neighbouring clubs, or unaffiliated.
The only rule on the open TTs are no pro kit (unless you are in said team) and no bare shoulders.Cannondale Synapse 105, Giant Defy 3, Giant Omnium, Giant Trance X2, EMC R1.0, Ridgeback Platinum, On One Il Pompino...0 -
Thanks for the info, I'll be joining a club but it's unlikely they are going to put an order for more clothes in for a while so it's an interim soution.
SCU used to enforce slightly stricter rules i think, but hey ho.
I assume, and can infer from some of the posts that club tt's will depend alot on on how pedantic the club are!?
Call it closed, i'm pretty happy the one i've got in mind won't offend!0
