Maybe the ugliest bike that you'll see on this part of the forum, though the seatpost doesn't look quite as ridiculous in real life!
With training wheels...
54x14...
Race mode...
PX 101
Frame: Dolan FXE 54cm
Forks: Planet X Full carbon
Bars: Bontrager Race X Lite bullhorns - Deda Parabolica Tri bars
Stem: Cinelli Pista 12cm
Headset: Alpina
Bar Tape: (Needs redoing)
Front Brake Lever: ITM
Front Caliper: Miche
Seat: Carbon Prism
Seat Post: Alu
Cranks: On One track 172.5mm
Chainring(s): Gebhardt 54T 1/8th
Chain: Cheap 1/8th
Sprockets: 14t and 13t Dura Ace 1/8th
Pedals: SPD SL
Front Wheel:
Rim: Planet X 101
Spokes: 16 x CX Ray
Hub: Planet X superlight
Back Wheel: (built by me!)
Rim: Rigida DP18
Spokes: 32 x db
Hub: On One track hub
Tire: Krylion Carbon
Weight: About 8kg I think
Other info:
I wanted to get low, so I bought a frame thats about 4 sizes smaller than my normal road frame size. Saddle to Arm rest drop is 23cm (just above the 80% rule) fits perfectly when in position and is very comfortable. Awesome in a straight line on the flat, appalling on any other type of road. Not used the 101 yet, but I can't wait to try it in a crosswind.
Since building it I have been edging towards being a proper roadie, rather than a TTer, so will probably only use it a few times next year.

Interesting...
I also use a negative stem on my road bike to get a massive drop, but my seatpost is nowhere near as ridiculous as this...!
Also - sorry to hijack your thread, but what's the 80% rule?0 -

101 on the front!! You're brave.....
I run an 82 on the front and that can be more than a handful when the wind picks up...0 -
That's mad! I'd be curious to see a pic of you riding it. My gut says it's going to be rather unstable in any kind of breeze with the 101.

Well I picked up the 101 reasonably cheaply, so I'll probably end up using it once then selling it.... after realising how stupid it is. I'd have to put a rear brake on it first though, wouldn't want to rely on braking using only the 101 rim!
I've all but lost interest in TTs now though, so it won't be ridden much0
