Rear strange issue when riding

Hi all

Was out yesterday and my bike felt like someine had superglued the tyres to the floor. Was riding up hills and a clunking noise was coming from the bottom the bike (assume bottom bracket) if its gone will be it be like riding in porridge?

    Raise the bike off the ground and move the drive train by a pedal. You'll notice any resistance and should be able to tell whether the problem is in the BB or rear hub.
