I've just ordered a pair without doing as much research as I would usually do when buying gear because Evans where having a 10% off everything sale just for this weekend.

Have I got myself a good pair of clipless pedals? I was looking at the Keo road sprints as well but opted to pay the extra £15 for the max 2s. Wasn't really sure what the differences were.

They were good enough for Contador to win the Tour on, so I'd say they are a decent pedal.

They have a wide base for your foot to sit on, so more power is transfered from you to the bike. Or so the story goes.

They are light, strong and look good. You have nothing to worry about. They are better than the Sprints.

The new ones are definitely better than the 'old' look keo's. The wider platform spreads the load over your foot more easily.

Are the cleats of the old Keo's compatible with the new Keo's Max?
