I have had lot of problems with Look Keo pedals slipping everywhere I had to put one foot on the ground. The Look Keo grip cleats are any good to help you like shimano cleats? http://www.wiggle.co.uk/p/cycle/7/Look_ ... 360041263/

  • I use these Keo grip cleats as I do a few triathlons-and touch wood I've not slipped over once yet. Worth bearing in mind they do wear down pretty quickly though, so you may find you have to replace your cleats more often (I did).

Maybe give them a try next time your cleats need replacing, but I wouldn't rush out and buy them before then.

The grippy bit is useful at first but disintegrates pretty quickly

Thanks for the replies. If you don't slip with the grip I will give them a try because I had lot of trouble with non grip keo cleats.
  • personally I have a pair of keo cleat covers, small enough to fit in the pocket if you need it but i just take them off just before getting on the bike then back on straight after...preserves the grippy bit for when you need it at a coffee break!!

Never slipped at lights with Look cleats on - you arent putting your foot down on metal are you, or before you've fully stopped ?

Normal looks are a bugger to walk in though - especially in tiled cafes - I use Time Atacs for the winter when I have cafe stops.
