120MM travel forks on a xc race frame...

I am looking at getting a new xc hard tail frame (as this is what I enjoy riding) but they all seem to be aimed at only 100mm travel forks. I have a pair of Revelations with 120mm travel on them. Am I likely to encounter any problems if I try and run a longer travel pair of forks on a 'regular' xc frame? Will I knacker the frame?
Thanks

it will make the steering slacker and slower.

It depends on the fork length, is it a 129mm travel bike you are after or is it just because you have the forks already as most forks cant shortend without too much ecpense/hassle.-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_

Why are MTB economics; spend twice as much as you intended, but only half as much as you wish you could afford? :roll:0 -

Why not look at a hardtail frame designed to take a 120mm fork? There are plenty of them out there...0

It won't be warrantied for anything over 100mm.0

Maybe I need to look a little harder, but all the lighter frames (carbon) seem to be set up for 100mm travel.0

OnOnes new carbon frame, when it lands, will be for more.
The Zaskar Carbon frame may be warrantied for more than 100mm - seen some team riders ands Hans Rey with 120mm forks on them.0
