I have a mix/match combo so unsure which chain to go for.
Shimano
SRAM
KMC
I run Red shifters and mech, fulcrum rs chainset and DA7900 cassette.

Any ideas?

Don't see any issue with taking any of the chains, KMC, SRAM, Wipperman etc, they aren't brand specific, some people use Shimano with Campag, Campag with Shimano
  • Can't go wrong with KMC ime

KMC or SRAM for me. Current lot of KMCs have been good, on road and mtb, so I'd recommend them. X9 or X10, or X10SL if you're flush. See Merlin.

    Thanks peeps.

    Good prices on Merlin again.

KMC X10SL out of stock at the mo.
I am going to need a chain by next weekend so may hunt around for that model elsewhere.

Do you need a specific chain tool for the KMC and I'm fititng a whole new drivetrain and currently run 11-25 / 53/39 so looks like I'll be removing a link or two.

    Cheers

I run KMC chains on 3 bikes. No tool required, just a bit of technique. No complaints from me.
