No, not a Ron Jeremy movie (apologies....)

I have a set of 24 spoke French "Champione" track wheels mounted on Campag Record hubs - tubular tyres.

As a 90kg bloke, will 24 hole wheels support my weight on a track or should I be looking at a higher spoke count?

Anyone have an answer?

Doesnt the aksium have 24 on rear? They supported my weight alright on the roads and I trashed them about a fair bit. I'm 14 stone btw.I should imagine track would be fine. :?
  • Depends how deep the rims are, alot of moden wheels get there strength from having such deep section rims.

Also the forces on a wheel on the track are way inexcess of what you would encounter on the road.
