Been offered a 40% discount on a new pair of Oakley's by Oakley as they can't repair my old shades. Was thinking about getting some Radars and specifically the Photochromic lenses. Has anyone got/used them and are they any good?

Yes. I have the Persimmon/Black Iridiums. Extremely good but I was sceptical at first. You don't see the light change, it just does! My partner has the same lenses and the VR50 version in her Flak Jackets and really rates them. She doesn't have to change lenses except for clear ones and they have the hydrophobic coating that repels water (it actually does work).M.Rushton0

Got a pair a few months ago and I'll agree with everything that's been said above. You don't really notice them changing which I guess is the idea.
I'd still rate Pro M's more highly, but the Radars are a close second.0 -
I have the V50 lense, cant fault them at all and i use them for mtb as well, just waiting for the clear vented lens as this time of year its getting wet and steamy, and for night riding, the fact they repel the water is amazing and you never get that blur even after you wipe them with a glove!Carbon is a mans best freind0

another vote for the Oakley photochromics, they're great. But I personally definitely would get some colourless lenses too, I always wear glasses when riding (I wear contacts and don't want to be digging grit out from under my lenses at whatever speed my aging legs can achieve) and great though the photochromics are, they don't go light enough to wear in the dark (no surprises there!! )"The only absolute statement is that everything is relative" - anon0
