It's been a few weeks since we've had a good old rant about Rapha. You know, the 'Rapha's gay', 'no it's not' kind of thing
What do we think about the new purse?

Is it made from whale foreskin leather ?0

Looks like a tobacco pouch to me. Stick a "terrier" logo on it call it a Radley and be done with it.Tail end Charlie

It's not a purse, more of a 'manpouch' or 'mansac'
Once again Rapha perceive a gap in the market and it will make a lovely present. If you don't like it don't buy it! No different to walking into Selfridges/H-Nichols etc and looking at bags by L.Vuitton,Gucci,Cartier etc for £100'sM.Rushton0 -

I owe you one mate. I was just about to hit the 'confirm order' button on the Rapha website to buy one, despite not liking it, when I read your post which bought me back to my senses. I can't tell you the amount of money I've lost buying stuff I don't like, but if I can just remember your advice I shouldn't have that problem any more0 -
Very cute.0

Not so much b******s but why not buy a leather tobacco pouch that prob. has a waterproof lining. If someone wants to buy me the Rapha mansac I'll gladly have it but otherwise I'll hang on to my £40 or buy some Rapha kit I'd really use eg a base layerM.Rushton0

surely if you needed a 'mansac' that badly, you would have one already...??
and does anyone else think that 'mansac' just sounds wrong....?0 -
Wasn't that Mansac covered in fur before NorthernNeil got a hold of the design?0
-
My mansac is still covered in fur - despite the "shaved balls" thread.0

Apparantly it plays "YMCA" when you open it. But it's not in the slightest bit gay. Oh no. Not gay at all.0

Brian at TWMP has a review. The last line of his review probably sums up the opinion of many of us

Actually, I don't use carrier bags, I use a small poly bag for my phone & card - a tesco value food bag is approximately 5,263 times cheaper than the Rapha. And of course weight weenies will be keen to point out that it's lighter too.0
