Ok gang, I'm after a bit of help -
I joined in sept 99 and just reached 10 years service. I transferred to the Met in march 06 and found out last year that the Met had indeed been paying me the wrong salary for that time giving me a nice little lump sum in back pay. I was just looking on last months pay slip and noticed that I'm still on pay point 9 (I know a few years after I joined it went to pay points not level of service) but from working out on the federation site pay scales I should be on pay point 10 as I've done 10 years service.
Is there anyone on here whose done 10 years as a P.C. and can share via PM what their pay scale is.
I would ask my fed rep but don't have his number and I'm away for a while so want to get the ball rolling on this whilst I'm not in work.

Cheers NapD I got that but I'm just trying to work out if I'm looking at it wrong. As I read it with 10 years service I should be on pay scale 10 as it's top whack PC rate but I'm only on pay scale 9.
How do you read it?There is never redemption, any fool can regret yesterday...

Depends how they move you up the scale! (i.e. do they move you up 1 point each year?)
I would assume you should be on point 10 though...0 -
It got complicated a few years back when they negotiated pay. Some people joining before a certain time took a step sideways and missed a pay scale and people went backwards. Think I'll have to call the fed rep tomorrow morning. There is never redemption, any fool can regret yesterday...

Yea I thought they had sorted it last year as well. Our payrol is done by an outside agency who are not the best apparently. There is never redemption, any fool can regret yesterday...
