shimano pedals ultegra vs DA

Hello,

I need to buy new pedals and I prefer shimano. My current pedals are shimano r540. I am thinking to upgrade to ultegra or dura ace. Is there any major difference between these pedals other than the weight? The ultegra pedals are very cheap compared to DA.

My mate has the DA ones and i have Ultegra sl, can't notice anything between them myself

So is the difference just the weight or DA offer smoother pedaling ? Anyone that has tried both of them for a long time?
