A set of forks with V bosses

Hi,
The forks that came with my 1999 Rockhopper are totally shot and they need to be replaced. The problem is I am finding it hard to find new forks out there with V bosses, and when I do find some (RockShox Dart 3 for example) I have no idea if they are worth the money.
My budget is £150-£200, has anyone got any recommendations?
Thanks,
LITW

Forget the Darts.
What are the old forks?
Most of the Toras can be got with brake bosses."Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

Hi Nick,
The forks are a set of Jett T2s. They are soft as marshmallow and are real bind when climbing.

Yep, the Toras have it all, blinding kit for the money0

I am having real trouble identifying which forks are V brake compatible...the Toras don't seem to be (from answers on the Wiggle site).0

Thanks.
They are the same forks I was looking at on Wiggle! But £55 cheaper and with more information from cyclesportsuk.
Never used that retailer... any good?0 -

I have used them for various parts, they have been good, delivery not much slower than Wiggle/CRC.... someone will probably say that they have had a problem, but then again, people hhave had problems with CRC/Wiggle (which I have never had)
I'd use them again for sure, it always pays to maybe make a phonecall to make sure website is correctly liting stock...0 -
They take PayPal too...
One last dumb question, the diameter of steerer is the same as my old Jett forks? I guess I could measure it, but I was wondering if there is a standard diameter?0 -

The 'standard' is 1 1/8th, which the Toras are, so that's what you will need for your 99 RH...
PP is a bonus too0 -
Thanks for the help, once I had a model to go for, I was able to find a better deal (free shipping) with ChainReactionCycles... who have always given me great service. No doubt I'll return to these forums with (steerer) cutting advice.. unless I can find a friendly LBS.
Thanks Again.0
