Got "nicked" for illegal parking in Sienna. Had to go to cashpoint to get 90 Euro's.
Then, took wrong turns thro the back streets/ancient lanes.
Got home, and months later got Italian letter requesting 90 Euro's for each offence, recorded on CCTV, total of 180. They can stick it up their butts!
Me an Mrs now probably on Interpol list of on-the-run criminals!

Hope my 90 Euros goes someway to repairing ALL the damage....

Ouch, I've witnessed the driving in Italy, I can't say I'm shocked to be honest. They are actually mental
  • Having driven there many times I can 100% agree.

Done Milan to a place 2ish hours South called Bobbio three times - the worst and most suicidal drivers I have ever seen.

I usually end up arriving a complete wreck from multiple near misses.

Must be something about living at home with their mums until they are 30+...
  • The further south you go in Italy the more crazy the driving. I have witnessed the most mental drivers (try Montevideo for size... 2584175188a3575120014b363251588l.jpg ...you'd see madness like this literally every day...yes that is a taxi on it's roof :D )

i thought that was normal for todays taxi drivers
  • you think italy is bad.

Russia or poland have to be the worst. No concept of other road users/lane markings, its diabolical.
