Ok then

this is my first post on here as I am just about to enter the world of mountain biking, I'm looking at the grand mark for bikes and I'm stuck between two.

Firstly and this was my original choice till I went to the LBS

Cube ltd team

Secondly

Orange Crush but with a few alterations

http://www.leisurelakesbikes.com/product/.aspx?&id=12697

namely rockshox recon 351 forks and x9 shifters instead of x7

Any advice please as I cant find reviews for either for the 2010 models

Thanks in advance

Obviously the Crush has a much longer fork. The Cube is a bit more racy.

What terrain will you be riding, and can you try them out?

The orange R8 S offers you an Orange with 100mm forks, if thats what you after, or alternatively to throw one more in check out theKona Kula.

If you are after the longer travel of the crush, then consider spending the extra hundred quid to get the fox forks, as they are really good (not that the recons aren't, but the foxs are better imo)

  • The Crush I'm looking at also has the rockshox recon fitted. Apologies for the link now working will try again.

As for terrain I live around oldham so will be looking at riding on parts of the pennine trail with the odd venture into wales.

    Thanks again
